Kate graduated from Millersville University in 2012 with her Bachelor's Degree in Education in the areas of Elementary (K-6) and Special (K-12) Education. She then accepted a position in a local public school district teaching Elementary Learning Support to students in grades K-5. Her work in this position prompted her to gain more knowledge in understanding how to better teach the reading process. She then attended Millersville University again to receive her Master's in Education Degree in Language and Literacy, with a certification as a Reading Specialist.
Kate has many experiences with co-teaching as well as teaching intensive reading interventions to struggling students. In addition to Learning Support Teacher, Kate also works as a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner within her school district.
She enjoys both performing in and viewing theatrical productions, and enjoys encouraging her students to follow their own passions.
