Paul Bratcher is Director of Jazz at Georgetown University, where he oversee the vision of the jazz program at the University. Paul earned a M.M. in Jazz Studies from Michigan State University and B.S. in Music Education from Messiah College. As a teaching artist he has taught and performed both nationally and internationally including major festivals like the Detroit Jazz Fest and the Java Jazz festival in Indonesia. Paul is also a dedicated music educator in the Alexandria City Public School District in Alexandria Virginia we he teaches elementary band and orchestra. Paul also maintains and large jazz studio at the Levine School of Music in Washington D.C. where he serves as Associate Chair of Piano.
