David Gilbert has served in various roles in K-12 teaching and administration. Beginning his career as a social studies teacher, he has served as an assistant principal, supervisor of curriculum and instruction, and building principal.
In addition to his roles in face-to-face educational leadership, he is interested in online education, education policy, and helping students to bridge the divide between their schooling and post-secondary opportunities.

David Gilbert resides in Mechanicsburg with his wife (also a Messiah graduate) and their four children. When he isn’t working on his dissertation, David serves as an elder at Mechanicsburg Christian Fellowship and enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
