Experience with pastoring churches (in Maryland, Chile, Costa Rica, and Pennsylvania) and supervising camps for a mission agency has taught me a lot about connections between Biblical study and daily life. I try to weave that into my teaching as we explore the texts and contexts of Scripture together. Messiah has been an important part of this journey: two of our daughters graduated from the University, professors here (and the library!) have sharpened my thinking, and I’ve been part of the adjunct faculty for several years.
My wife Sue and I enjoy reading, the outdoors, travel, and house projects. We especially delight in time with our nearby kids & grandkids.
