Rachel Luann Strayer, MFA, is a published and internationally produced playwright, director, theatre artist, educator, and firm believer in the Oxford comma. Her full-length plays include Drowning Ophelia (Blue Moon Plays), The Poe Asylum, Songbird (Premiere Stages Finalist, Henley Rose Finalist), The Last Daughter (Jane Chambers Award for Feminist Playwriting Finalist), A Decameron for the Apocalypse, and After Jane. Her most recent directing projects include Love’s Labour’s Lost and The Merry Wives of Windsor with Lancaster Shakespeare Theatre and PUFFS at Millersville University. Rachel was previously the Director of Theatre and Assistant Professor of Communications at a small college in northeast Pennsylvania. She currently works in the Hempfield High School Library and resides with her husband, Jonathan, in Lancaster, PA.
