"In a normal day of teaching, I have the pleasure of working with high school students teaching classes like personal finance, food and nutrition, and college-level child development.
While still in my senior year at Messiah, I interviewed for the teaching position at the high school in February and they loved my interview and resume and ended up saving the job for me in which I started that August.
Every single one of my classes and professors nurtured, challenged, and educated me on topics that I teach about every single day. Not only was the content in each class beneficial, but the people who were in my classes taught me so much as well.
I work in a public school so I have to separate church in state. My loophole is that I founded my non-profit, Called to Love Outreach, and students have heard about all the volunteer opportunities that are faith-based and students get involved in the organization. It is in that environment where I am allowed to share my faith journey and testimony!
I would encourage you with getting creative in ways that you can share your faith. Workplaces sometimes specifically frown on it, but there is always a loophole somewhere."
