Since graduating, Runkles has devoted her life to working in human services. She has worked for the foster care system (Community Services Group), family counseling (PA Counseling Services), social work (Shippensburg Community Resource Coalition), sexual violence (Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape), and special education (Shippensburg University). Before her job at Caron Treatment Centers, Runkles worked as a Children’s Acute Partial Hospitalization Clinician at T.W. Ponessa & Associates Counseling Services.
After her B.A. at Messiah, Runkles earned a Master of Social Work at Shippensburg University. Taylore’s senior thesis was about urban poverty.
