I work as part of a diverse team on national projects related to substance use prevention and harm reduction, that connect community mental health providers to the tools to be able to apply the most evidenced based practices. As part of the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, I work for an organization that is one of the leading voices in driving the reform of mental health and substance use care in America to provide more equitable access for everyone.
Social work is an amazing career for people passionate about human rights and helping others, with many opportunities, even outside the clinical realm. If you get your BSW, get your Master’s right away, you won’t regret it!
The Rigorous course work and dedicated professors prepared me with social work skills and understanding of systems to standout with my quality of work and passion.
Would you recommend Messiah's BSW program to future social workers?
Yes! Messiah’s program prepared me well for success in grad school and in my career. Most of all, I grew as a person both intellectually and spiritually for the better.
