Cory Hulsizer graduated from Messiah University in 2015 with a degree in History with a Social Studies Certification. He now teaches social studies at Camp Hill Middle and High School. He teaches seventh grade World History and AP United States Government and Politics. In his everyday work he used what he learned at Messiah. He said he often catches himself saying the same kind of things his old professors used to say to his own students. He is driven to teaching, not as just a job, but a vocation. It is where he feels his personality and skills are best used to serve those around him. He sees his job as not only teaching, but to also support his students emotionally and help equip them with the necessary skills they need for life, but also with the knowledge that they matter, are worthy, and are cared for. While studying at Messiah, Hulsizer was thankful for the smaller class sizes because they allowed for a closer-knit environment and more one on one time with your professors. He thanks his professors guidance, knowledge and encouragement for helping him find his path and go into a job he loves.
