Anxiety or Stress?

 

Ever wondered if what you’re experiencing is “just stress” or an anxiety disorder? Stress is usually linked to challenging tasks in life, such as job, school, or relationship issues. A certain amount of “good stress” can contribute positively to motivation and performance. Anxiety is more often the fear of things that have not happen yet. If you’re struggling with anxiety you might obsess about the future rather than living in the present. You may be tortured by thoughts such as “what if I fail the test?” or “am I going to get the job I want?” Physical anxiety may feel like a pressure in the chest or difficulty breathing. (APA, 2020).
