Part of Messiah University’s mission is to equip students to live lives of service, leadership, and reconciliation in church and society. One cannot look at this part of Messiah’s mission without addressing the need for racial and ethnic diversity and reconciliation in our communities, our country, and our world. It is in this spirit that Messiah University introduced the Lloyd and Lois Martin Multicultural Scholarship and the Rachel Helen Flowers Multicultural Scholarship.
These scholarships, which include several full-tuition and partial tuition scholarships, are open to all domestic students of color, as well as any student who confirms involvement in the promotion of racial and ethnic diversity and reconciliation as noted on their Messiah University application for admission. Interested students must complete the Messiah University application process prior to Feb. 1.
Students will be invited to attend one of Messiah’s on-campus Multicultural Scholarship Days occurring in January and February. Attendance at one of these events is required for inclusion in the evaluations that will ultimately determine scholarship awards. If you have a scheduling conflict or are not able to physically make it to campus for an evaluation, please contact to Sierra Kinslow at skinslow@messiah.edu.
