Recommended High School Courses for Students Interested in the Nutrition and Dietetics Major (This major is a good choice for students who wish to become Registered Dietitians, Public Health Nutrition Counselors, or Food Service Managers in Health Care)
- At least 3 (preferably 4) years of college-preparatory level science (biology, chemistry, physics)
- Four years of college-preparatory math, including at least trigonometry or pre-calculus. AP statistics is very helpful.
- Students who take less science than this in high school may benefit from college algebra and/or an introduction to chemistry course at a community college before beginning at Messiah.
