Scholarship
At Messiah University, scholarship is defined as entering into and advancing conversations (regarding the discovery of new knowledge, the integration and synthesis of ideas, innovative applications, or the study of teaching and learning) with disciplinary peers and/or other peers in the scholarly community in a formal way.
Messiah University, through the Office of Faculty Development, offers robust support for scholarship through scholarship grants, conference participation funding, faculty development funds, and opportunities to apply for a scholarship chairs or designation as a distinguished professor. Please see our pages on internal grants and scholarship programming for more information.
